Darius Espandiar Sr. opened the first ESPANDIAR desk in 1987 — a one-room office above a café on Rotterdam's Witte de Withstraat, booking ocean freight for a handful of Iranian-Dutch trading houses. The mission was simple: do exactly what you promised, document it flawlessly, and pick up the phone when something went wrong.
Three decades later, that mission is unchanged — but the platform has grown to span 62 offices, 480 distribution hubs, 12,400+ assets, and a unified technology stack that processes 4.2 billion telemetry events per day. The family remains the largest single shareholder; the second generation now leads the company, with Darius Espandiar Jr. as CEO.
